SWS-Trimac offers our customers an array of options from value added in process machining services saving time & cost to very complex assemblies requiring multiple operations or turnkey to completion. SWS-Trimac also has the ability to stress relieve and heat treat and for those requirements that cannot be carried out in-house. SWS-Trimac has a comprehensive list of capable and accredited sources to support such needed services as many hold FAA credentials.
Modular Machining and Welding
Many of our customers find significant cost savings by building various components with a modular approach as once thought only “from solid” could be tolerated or used. With the use of advanced Manufacturing techniques such as Electron Beam Welding or Laser Welding our customers find that they are saving a significant amount in raw materials, shipping costs and reducing the machining times often in half without sacrificing part strength or finish tolerance. SWS-Trimac Engineering staff can support these advance manufacturing approaches with both pre and post weld machining techniques often times creating the same end result. In fact many of these modular weldments are manufactured with multiple base materials offering high harnesses for wear resistance or the bonding of dissimilar materials that were not considered possible with conventional welding practices.
SWS-Trimac finds that the volume of opportunities is increased once our customers become familiar with these concepts reducing lead-time and cost savings. The cost of raw material was been on a radical inflationary trend depending upon the alloy; why not take a look at the potential savings.
